Remember Spring?

It's an early spring in New Jersey - for a few days anyway - and the warm weather has inspired me to pull up some of the great campus photography taken over the past few springs. All the photos were taken by professional photographer Theo Anderson.

Check out the lush greenery and pastel blossoms all over campus (not to mention our great-looking students!)

Rutgers in the Snow

It's snowing again in New Jersey today. We're not supposed to get nearly the huge accumulation as we did a week ago - a mere 3-6 inches, they say - but it is sticking, so this morning I decided to take some photos walking through campus.

For a few more photos, check out our Facebook gallery.  If you've got great snow photos that you want to share, please send them to me.

It's still coming down, so stay safe out there whether you're driving, walking, or taking mass transit!

Fall at Rutgers Newark

Getting brisk out there and the leaves are turning! Ryan Lagansoa, who is studying Information Systems and plans to graduate in 2011, sent some wonderful photos of foliage around campus.

Aren't the colors on these gorgeous?

Thanks Ryan!

Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign

Farrukh Salikhov, a Program Coordinator for the Writing Program, sent in a batch of photos from all around campus. Here's a sampling:

Keep the great photos coming! Look forward to seeing more of them.

Open House

Every April Rutgers in Newark holds an Open House for anyone interested in learning more about us or attending - we had a gorgeous day for it this year, sunny and very warm.

There was a large turnout of interested students, parents and friends, and Magdalena Kucharski, who works in Admissions, and her husband Marcin took these great photos throughout the day.

At left, a Rutgers volunteer leads a small group down New St. Plaza on a tour.

Below, volunteers gather underneath the Rutgers-Newark arch for a group photo.

Information tables were set up in the Norman Samuels Plaza by various campus groups and departments:

Spring Blosssoms

It doesn't feel like it with all the cold and rain we're getting around here this week, but it's well into spring already. Brian Biglin took these photos a couple of weeks ago and sent them in with the following captions.

Spring arrives outside the dorms:
The pink tree blossoms look beautiful. Thanks for reminding us what the campus looks like in sunshine!
